Ruby Lewis Wins Lakeland 5 Kilometer City Race
Ruby Lewis, granddaughter of Ronnie and Carolyn Lewis, running for the George Jenkins Eagles, has won the Lakeland 5 Kilometer City Race (approximately 3.1 miles) in a time of 21 minutes and 51.45 seconds. The cross country meet was held at Tenoroc High School. She competed against All Saints' Academy, Foundation Christian Academy, George Jenkins,
Kathleen, Lake Gibson, Lakeland, McKeel Academy, Oasis Christian
Academy, Santa Fe Catholic, Tenoroc, Winter Haven and Victory Christian

The George Jenkins Eagles have three other excellent runners on the girl's team. They are Teresa Trantham, Casey Johnson and Heather Meskimen. Teresa Tranthan was a slight favorite.
